Join Dr. Diana Chou, Associate Curator of Asian Art, and San Diego Opera Costume Designer Ingrid Helton as they discuss Chinese works on display at the Museum, as well as the process of professional opera costume design, with an emphasis on how traditional materials and techniques inform opera costume design. A sampling of costumes from San Diego Opera’s February 2018 production of Turandot will be on display for this event.
