Oaxacan-based Sergio Hernández is among Mexico’s leading contemporary artists and you’re invited to the Members’ Preview on Saturday, November 12, 2022, for his first solo museum exhibition in the US, Sergio Hernández: Embers of Oaxaca.

Focusing on the wonders of the natural world, including native species of southern Mexico, the Pacific Ocean, and constellations of the night sky, Hernández’s works of art and his use of local materials, such as cochineal, tie his art-making practice to important local and Indigenous traditions.

This event is a member benefit. Sergio Hernández: Embers of Oaxaca opens to the public at noon on November 12, 2022.
