Speaker: Marianela de la Hoz, artist
Join in conversation with San Diego artist Marianela de la Hoz to discover the ways her highly detailed realistic paintings and drawings explore the very core of our shared humanity. Eleven of her recent works are featured in Paintings from the Confinement, now on view in the Museum’s American galleries. These intimate egg tempera paintings reveal not only the artist’s feelings about her experiences over the past year, but also illustrate why her work has been the subject of numerous museum exhibitions.
