Join the SDMA Teen Council and Museum educators for a hands-on art workshop inspired by the designs of Persian ceramics from the Museum’s collection. In this drop-in activity, participants will create their own painted tiles using paint pens while exploring the geometric and vegetal motifs found in 13th-century Persian pottery.

The SDMA Teen Council offers high school students the opportunity to engage collaboratively with Museum staff and peers, contributing their voices to developing and implementing community-based art programs.

This event is open to all ages and skill levels. No reservation is required. All materials are provided.

Featured: Bowl, Iran, 13th century. Ceramic. Museum purchase with funds provided by the Asian Arts Council. Conservation funded by the Association of Iranian American Professionals, the House of Iran, and the Persian Cultural Center. 1967.15.
