Author, lecturer, and artist Paul Binnie, whose works are in the collections of museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the British Museum, and Rijksmuseum, will discuss Yoshida Hiroshi, covering the three main aspects of his career— watercolorist, oil painter, and woodblock printmaker—as well as his contribution to the Westernization of Japanese art in his paintings and the introduction of Japanese art to the West through his prints.
