Returning to the Museum for its 16th season, Art of Elan takes inspiration from the thought-provoking multimedia work of artist Justin Sterling and his Chapel of the Rocks installation, which uses the urban environment as a medium to explore bad faith. The concert kicks off an engaging three-concert series at the Museum and features San Diego premieres of works composed by Jonathan Bailey Holland and Juhi Bansal.
The Broken Windows concert program features
- “Upon Enchanted Ground” by Alan Hovhaness (flute, harp, cello, percussion)
- “His House is Not of This Land” by Jonathan Bailey Holland (flute, bass clarinet, violin, viola, cello) *San Diego premiere
- “Trail of Stars” by Juhi Bansal (solo harp) *San Diego premiere
- “Credo” by Kevin Puts (string quartet)
