Join San Diego jazz icon Gilbert Castellanos and featured guest Sarah McKenzie at Portraits In Jazz! The Australian-born, Paris-based jazz pianist and singer is poised to join the rarefied air occupied by superstars ‪Diana Krall and ‪Norah Jones. She’ll perform a rich collection of originals, as well as jazz standards from the likes of George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Johnny Mercer and Michel Legrand, backed by a top shelf band including Castellanos himself.

At 7:30 p.m. a pre-concert talk about some of the most legendary pianists in jazz will be given by Ken Poston, the General Manager for KSDS Jazz 88.3, and the founder and Director of the Los Angeles Jazz Institute.

Portraits In Jazz is a series co-presented by the San Diego Museum of Art and series curator Gilbert Castellanos.
