Some works of art narrate stories, whether taken from mythology, scriptures, literature, history, or everyday life. Often, such narratives can be suggested for the viewers by a single scene that evokes memories of a complex tale with various episodes that they may have read or heard through oral tradition. This tour will explore a dozen works of art from Asia, Europe, and the United States ranging from the 2nd to the early 20th century.
