Speaker: Justin Sterling, artist
Virtual Event
Utilizing the built environment as his medium, artist Justin Sterling is installing over 30 broken and mended stained-glass windows into a 1,000-square-foot chapel custom-built within the Museum. The installation, Chapel of the Rocks, is on view at The San Diego Museum of Art October 29, 2022, through February 12, 2023. Join Sterling online to hear about his working practices, the show, bad faith, spiritual semiotics, civil disobedience, and broken windows policing, all combined with a bit of humor. As Sterling notes, he does after all, “make a living throwing rocks.”
