Private Group Tours

Docent-guided tours are available to private groups such as clubs, community organizations, Scout troops, corporate groups and the like. Discounted group admissions rates may apply. Click here for more information. 50-minute tours are scheduled:

Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays /
at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:00 p.m.

Fridays /
at 1:00 p.m., and 2:00p.m., (10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. tours available on 5th Fridays only).

Saturdays /
at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:00p.m.

Sundays /
at noon, 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.

No tours are available on the third Tuesday of the month, when Museum admission is free for San Diego residents as a part of Balboa Park’s Resident Free Tuesday program.  Private Group Tours must be requested and confirmed at least four weeks in advance. Groups must be a minimum of 10 people. Tours in Spanish, Russian, Tagalog, Chinese, Danish, or Brazilian Portuguese may be requested depending upon availability of bilingual docent.
