The Summer Salon Series

The San Diego Museum of Art and Agitprop are proud to co-present this summer long program of contemporary artists' performances, talks, demos and workshops.

Inspired by the newly opened exhibition of Toulouse-Lautrec and his participation in the Salon des Indépendants, the Museum presents our version of the Salon, a place for intellectuals, creatives, and those interested in the art to meet, discuss ideas, and engage with artistic performances. In the spirit of the Salon des Indépendants, The Museum’s Salon will feature emerging contemporary artists from Southern California.

Every Thursday evening through September 2 contemporary artists will be performing and presenting their works of art inside and outside the Museum.  Explore the works of living artists, participate in hands-on art making activities, enjoy a cocktail, and view the Museum's current exhibitions and collections.

We invite the public to join some of the most exciting artists working in Southern California and immerse themselves in what’s happening right now in our local art scene.
