Join fellow book lovers for a virtual Art of Reading Book Club featuring Just Kids by Patti Smith. The terrifically evocative and splendidly titled memoir by Smith details her close relationship with Robert Mapplethorpe and is a testament to devotees of downtown Manhattan’s last momentous period of 20th-century artistic ferment. It is also her portrait of two young artists’ ascent, a prelude to fame. Just Kids begins as a love story and ends as an elegy.
