Join Ariel Plotek, Ph.D., Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, as he leads audiences through the art and alchemy of Nancy Lorenz. The lecture will cover both Lorenz’s techniques, which include traditional Japanese lacquer, gilding, and inlay, and the ways in which the artist has forged her own creative path by transforming humble materials into works of ethereal beauty. This lecture will be held in Gallery 4.
