Free and for teens only! Paint a self-portrait with an abstract twist. Inspired by Abstract Expressionists as well as German Expressionist art movements, students will use color sticks on drawing paper to create a series of studies. Look at a variety of artistic styles and investigate how the artist made marks.
Meet and mingle with fellow teen artists at Teen Art Café as you learn about works on view by master artists and participate in art projects led by Museum educators and artists. Students will have the opportunity to go on an exclusive after hours tour of Modern and Contemporary Art as well as Abstract Revolution. Enjoy some pizza, live music and have the chance to win prizes!
