This tour discusses the photography of artist Lisa Ross, which explores the holy shrines of the Uyghur people of the Xinjiang region of China. These hauntingly beautiful places were carefully tended in tribute to saints and ancestors. Many of these places no longer exist and Ross’s moving images have become an elegy to the Uyghur people, their culture, and their collective memory.

Please reserve your spot by clicking on this link. All participants will be sent the Zoom link and instructions via email once you secure your place. Space is limited.
