This Cyanotype kit is where art meets science! It’s a perfect gift or something special to have for yourself to spur creativity. The kit comes complete with everything you need. Just add the sun! This DIY kit contains the chemicals you need to mix up 100ml solution which will coat around 40-50 A5 sheets of paper. A little goes a long way. There are 7 sheets of A5 paper included, but you will find your chemicals will stretch much further than this! You can coat any acid-free paper or fabric with your cyanotype solution, get creative!
The Cyanotype craft kit includes:
-Two bottles of chemicals to create the solution. Bottle A is created with ferric ammonium citrate and distilled water and Bottle B is potassium ferricyanide and diluted in distilled water.

What is cyanotype? Discovered by Sir John Herschel in 1841, a cyanotype is a camera-less photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. It was made famous by scientist Anna Atkins in her book titled ‘Photographs of British Algae: Cyanotype Impressions’ in 1843.
